Opioid Pharmaceuticals, Cannabinoids, Nutrition, and Supplements in Senior and Geriatric Canine Pain Management

This webinar is expected to be 50-60 minutes in length depending upon participation.

Prerequisites: The webinar is open to veterinarians, physical therapists, veterinary technicians/nurses, and veterinary students that have successfully completed Introduction to Canine Rehabilitation. CCRPs are also welcome. Veterinary technicians/nurses are required to submit an Employment Agreement Letter (EAL).

Cost: $50 for veterinarians and physical therapists; $25 for veterinary technicians/nurses and veterinary students.

Discount: 10% off for CCRTs, CCRVNs, and CCRAs (the discount may be applied during checkout).

Class Size: The webinar will be limited to 20 participants to allow for constructive interaction between faculty and attendees.

Learning Objective: Participants will be able to demonstrate an understanding of:

  • The use of opioids in pain management including tramadol, gabapentin and pregabalin; also, less commonly prescribed medications such as tricyclic anti-depressants and cannabinoids
  • How nutrition and omega 3 fatty acids apply in chronic pain management
