Welcome
to Canine Rehabilitation Institute!
Canine Rehabilitation
Institute, Inc. provides veterinary and physical
therapy professionals with top-notch training in
canine rehabilitation. Classes are small
and learning is hands-on with dogs on site providing
real-life lessons in anatomy and biomechanics.
Our instructors are recognized leaders in their
fields — and
they love to teach. They have also managed busy
referral practices so they understand the business
as well as the science of canine rehabilitation.
Certification Programs and Continuing Education Courses
We offer two certification programs: Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT) for veterinarians and physical therapists, and
Certified Canine Rehabilitation Veterinary Nurse (CCRVN) for veterinary technicians/nurses. Veterinary technicians/nurses with credentials including CVT, LVT, RVT, AHT or those who have completed a two-year veterinary technology program will be certified as Canine Rehabilitation Veterinary Nurses (CCRVN) if they are working under the direction of a rehabilitation-certified veterinarian or physical therapist.
Veterinary technicians/nurses without formal credentials will be certified as Canine Rehabilitation Assistants (CCRA). If the applicant is not a credentialed veterinary technician, a letter of recommendation will be required following the guidelines specified in the course application.
Since CRI was founded in 2002, we have certified more than 1,000 students from 30 countries.
We hold our certification modules in convenient locations in Florida and Colorado. We have taught in countries around the world including Australia, Europe, and the United Kingdom. We also offer a variety of continuing education opportunities year-round. Check out the CRI calendar for upcoming courses.
